1. Project Scope and Deliverables
At Creative Edits, we provide a wide range of professional video editing services, including but not limited to trimming, color correction, audio enhancement, transition effects, text animations, and visual effects, depending on the package chosen by the client. Clients are encouraged to clearly define and communicate the full scope of their project before work begins. Any additions or modifications to the initial requirements may be subject to additional charges. Our goal is to deliver high-quality edits that align with the client’s expectations, but we rely on accurate input and clear communication from the client to do so.
2. Turnaround Time
The turnaround time for each project is determined by the service package selected and the complexity of the video content. While we strive to deliver all projects within the promised timeframe, delays can occur due to late submission of materials, unclear project instructions, or last-minute changes. Express or priority delivery options are available at an additional cost. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that all necessary materials are provided in a timely manner to avoid any delay in delivery.
3. Revisions Policy
Each video editing project includes up to two rounds of revisions at no extra charge. These revisions are intended to fine-tune the project and ensure client satisfaction. Any revision requests beyond the included rounds, or changes that significantly alter the original brief, will be charged accordingly. Clients must submit any revision requests within two (2) days of receiving the final draft. Revisions requested after this period may be considered new work and billed separately.
4. Payments and Refunds
Our agency operates on a prepaid model, where full or partial payment is required upfront based on the agreed terms. Once work has commenced, payments are non-refundable unless the project cannot be delivered due to an error on our part. We do not offer refunds for dissatisfaction based on subjective preferences once the work is completed and delivered. If a client decides to cancel the project before editing has started, a partial refund may be issued, minus any administrative or processing fees.
5. Client Responsibility
To ensure the best possible outcome, clients are required to provide all necessary files, including high-resolution video footage, branding assets (logos, intro/outro files), fonts, and licensed music tracks. All content must be provided in appropriate formats and accompanied by clear, organized instructions. Delays in providing essential materials will directly affect the project timeline, and we are not responsible for missed deadlines caused by such delays.
6. Intellectual Property
Once the final payment is made, full ownership and rights to the final edited video will be transferred to the client. However, Creative Edits retains the right to display the project or a snippet thereof in its portfolio, on social media, or as part of promotional material, unless the client explicitly requests otherwise in writing. Clients must ensure that they hold the appropriate licenses or rights for any third-party materials submitted for editing.
7. Confidentiality
We take the privacy and security of our clients seriously. All materials shared with us, including video footage, scripts, and communication records, will be treated as confidential and used solely for the purposes of project completion. We will never share, reuse, or disclose client materials to any third party without prior written consent.
8. Communication
Effective communication is crucial for a successful project. We prefer all communication to occur via approved channels such as email, our client portal, or scheduled video meetings (e.g., Google Meet). Clients are requested to be responsive and cooperative throughout the editing process to help avoid delays and misunderstandings. Regular updates will be provided to keep the client informed of the project’s progress.
